Putting RV Owners First: Dealer Spotlight on Brazel's ... - Safe-T-Plus

rv-ownersThis is the first installment of a two-part dealer spotlight. With our dealer spotlights, we?re going to showcase some of the dealers who are partners in making our customers safer by carrying the Safe-T-Plus line of products.

Jon Brazel of?Brazel?s RV Performance in Centralia, Washington, was kind enough to share his story with us.

Can you tell us a little bit about the history of the company?

In 1980, Rodney Brazel and son Steve partnered to open a Chevron service station in Olympia, Washington. In 1991, Rodney decided to retire and leave the thriving business to his son. He soon realized that RV repair & upgrading was the direction he wanted to take the business. With the new direction of the business, Steve found the original facility was in need of expansion. In 1997 he made the decision to break ground on a new property and built Brazel?s Automotive & RV. In this new location, he installed a heavy duty rack that had the capability of lifting 40? motor homes in the air to be serviced. At that time this made Brazel?s unique, as it was the only facility in the Puget Sound that had that capability. With the business thriving in the auto and RV repair arena, Steve noticed that RV repair & upgrades were proving to be in far more demand than anticipated. In 2004, it once again was time to relocate to accommodate the heavy flow of RV business they were experiencing. He purchased a large piece of property in Centralia, Washington that is located just off of the I-5 corridor and suited much better to service his RV customer base. Thus was born Brazel?s RV Performance, focusing solely on RV?s.

No detail was spared on this new Centralia location. Built into the newly constructed facility were two pit bays, a four-wheel laser alignment rack and a chassis dynamometer. Not too long after opening in this location, we decided to construct an RV park adjacent to the shop. This would provide the opportunity for customers to come the night before their appointment, or stay longer if needed to complete their repairs.

What is your business philosophy at Brazel?s?

Our business philosophy is to provide safety and comfort to RV owners, and because of that our business motto is ?Caring Quality Service.? Meeting the needs of our customers, while providing the best possible service, products and technical support, sets us apart from most other repair and upgrade facilities. Not only do we service customers at our facility, but we also lend our expertise to other service centers, including our own nationwide dealer network, all in an effort to better serve RV owners. We also actively participate in online RV forums such as iRV2.com, helping . . . ?owners on a daily basis with general problems they are experiencing and offering advice on solutions and upgrades.

Can you talk a little bit about the online ordering process?

New in 2012 was a revamped website for Brazel?s RV Performance, www.brazelsrv.com/. Not only was the website look updated; we also added a lot more functionality to the site, which allowed the customer to create their own user profile, giving them access to service documents, online order history, shipment tracking and special ?member only? deals on parts. We currently have over 500 RV chassis upgrade and service parts for order in our online store and we are constantly adding new parts every day.

We are the only online store that offers the entire product line from Safe-T-Plus. We also have simplified the ordering of bracket kits for the different chassis manufactures and models. The most popular brackets for each Safe-T-Plus unit are listed at the top, followed by every bracket that is applicable with that Safe-T-Plus unit. We also have the Safe-T-Plus Chassis Fitment Guide available to search for your unit and bracket kit. We have a year/model search menu in the works that should be available soon to further enhance the ease of ordering. On a regular basis, we offer coupon codes to our customers to highlight different product lines and site-wide discounts on holidays and special occasions. We feel that we offer the most comprehensive RV chassis upgrade inventory on the web. Whether you are looking for more power, better fuel economy, enhanced steering and handling, a safer driving experience, or maintenance items, we have it all.

We?ll talk with Jon some more next week. Have you ever ordered parts or equipment for your RV online? Tell us about it in the comments!

For extra peace of mind and safety, install the?Safe-T-Plus product?that?s right for you.
